Carbon8Lighting has just unveiled its new Discus LED Floodlight that offers an unparalleled combination of performance, quality and flexibility in a unique design. Part of the extremely successful Discus LED range, the new luminaire is available in 50W to 600W versions using a common modular 50W LED ‘block’ and incorporating the reliability and outstanding performance of other fittings in the range.
The issue with the ‘traditional’ style LED flood lights to date is that the components are built into a case design that pre dates LED. The result is a product that’s a compromise and, although perfectly acceptable, is limited in ultimate performance and cannot fully exploit the fantastic benefits that the latest LED technology can offer. The Discus LED Floodlight incorporates substantial improvements in performance combined with numerous clever features, which include a choice of five unique precision lenses that have been specifically designed for the Discus Floodlight to guide the light to exactly where it is required. With this technology, the Discus Floodlight maximises efficacy while minimising secondary glare and light pollution.
The Discus LED Floodlight has a tough Cast Aluminium/Polycarbonate body, an IP65 rating and an operating temperature ranging from -25° to +40°, making it safe for operation in harsh conditions. The luminaire has a colour temperature of 5000k (4000k & 6500k available to order) providing an excellent colour rendering of >70 (>80 available to order). The floodlight has beam angle options of 30×30, 60×60, 90×90, 85×135, 85×90 and achieves typical lumens per Watt of 130.
The Discus Floodlight range sits perfectly alongside Carbon8Lighting’s hugely successful Discus LED High Bay to offer total lighting solutions for warehouse, factory stadium, airport and retail applications, indoors and outside. The Discus Floodlight range is covered by Carbon8Lighting’s unique 5 Year Premier Care Warranty. Should there be a fault at any point during the 5 year warranty, Carbon8 will send an advance replacement fitting to site, pay up to £250+VAT towards the exchange and collect the swapped fitting from site. As well as minimising down time, this unique warranty reassures customers investing in the Discus Floodlight that there will be no hidden cost of ownership.
