When Glasgow restaurant Clydebuilt Bar & Kitchen needed lighting to complement its stunning interior decor, Edmundson SLD Scotland turned to Crompton Lamps for inspiration. Crompton’s LED Antique Filament Lamps were perfect for the project in terms of aesthetics and ambience.

The term ‘Clydebuilt’ came to be a word for quality craftsmanship simply when Scotland was the world’s largest shipbuilding nation and it is fitting that this site which was once a dock, the term Clydebuilt has been revitalised in the form of a bar and restaurant. Clydebuilt Bar & Kitchen, part of Levy Restaurants, is conveniently located at the front entrance of the SEC (Scottish Event Campus), Scotland’s largest exhibition and events complex. With its contemporary industrial design, and spectacular views over The SSE Hydro from the bar area, it provides a striking venue with a fabulous atmosphere for pre or post show dining.

Crompton’s LED Spiral Filament Antique-Bronze Dimmable lamps offer the perfect solution for a retro feel with all the benefits of the latest in LED technology. The new spiral design extends the full length of the lamp and is enclosed in an antique-bronze coloured glass. They have the look and feel of a traditional spiral filament lamp creating a great visual effect, making them ideal for creating character in decorative installations. The LED technology incorporated in these lamps offers excellent energy efficiency, long life and dimming options that will create different moods and atmosphere.

The range includes an 80mm Globe (G80) 5W and ST64 5W lamp, both with an equivalent brightness to that of a 25W incandescent lamp. The lamps have a colour rendering of Ra≥80, a colour temperature of 2200K (extra warm white) and 15,000 hours life. Both lamps are available in BC-B22d or ES-E27 caps and include DuoDim™ Technology which is compatible with both leading and trailing edge dimmers.
