The Light Middle East Awards 2017 took place this month and we were there hoping for a win, as two of our lighting design projects had been shortlisted in the “Retail Lighting Project of the Year” category: Bloomingsdale’s Kuwait and Magrabi Optical.
And WIN we did!
It was the chic, clean and bold retail lighting scheme for luxury department store Bloomingdale’s Kuwait that took the top prize. The emporium is the famous brand’s second location outside of the US and covers an impressive 93,000 square feet in 360 Mall.
The eventful evening was topped off by three of our designers being part of the team that won all three awards in the “Ready Steady Light” competition – the winners were announced at the awards, but the contest took place a few days earlier. Anna Asuncion talks through how they created an exterior lighting scheme that wowed the judges and the other competitors, here.
When it comes to awards, we’re thankful that the year’s not over yet. On 7 November the Middle East Consultant Awards 2017 take place at The Ritz-Carlton JBR, Dubai and we’re absolutely thrilled to have been nominated for Lighting Design Consultancy of the Year. Fingers Crossed!
