Sylvania has launched a new smart office lighting product, the Concord Pixer, which delivers high performance optics in a modular design.

Pixer is a high specification architectural solution which can be laid out in ‘pods’ of square or rectangular form, in either a recessed or dropped setting. Featuring a UGR<19 and with a lumen output of up to 150 lm/W, Pixer is a highly efficient and aesthetic solution which creates an ambience ideal for generating increased productivity and wellness. Richard Turner, General Manager, EMEA Verticals Business Unit for Sylvania, says: “The modern office is a valuable asset and it is important that business owners take advantage of every square metre of floor space to get the best return. Similarly, by improving user comfort through better lighting, employee wellbeing and productivity levels will benefit too. Lighting, cooling and ventilation are responsible for more than 60% of electricity use in office buildings, so energy efficient, smart controlled lighting solutions are a must. “Our new range of office lighting is both DALI dimmable compatible for better ambience and provides SylSmart Connected Building functionality - an intelligent, de-centralised lighting control system. This enables businesses to easily manage their lighting to make significant energy savings through granular control of each luminaire, based on usage, presence and natural daylight. Our efficient lighting combined with smart features will deliver greater energy savings, which can help to achieve <4W/m2 building energy consumption.” Pixer is designed with a modular architecture which allows for quick customisation and is available in either recessed or dropped configurations. It provides business owners greater flexibility in both design and control. It is available in varying lumen output levels and comes with three hour emergency options as required. It also comes with the SylSmart Standalone Office solution, allowing business owners and occupants to easily control the lighting through an easy-to-use app. Automatic on/off functionality is made possible through the use of sensors and scene setting can all be managed via the app, to create the optimum ambient working environment.
