Interconnection and automation specialist WAGO has won in two categories at Ireland’s National Electrical Awards 2018. At an event in Dublin on May 11, WAGO Lighting Management won Lighting Control Product of the Year, while sales manager Ruth Allen took home Sales Representative of the Year.

The inaugural awards recognised excellence in the Irish electrical industry, with an independent panel of judges selecting winners across 16 categories covering electrical contractors, consultants, wholesalers, manufacturers, people, products and projects.

No programming knowledge is required to use WAGO Lighting Management, as configuration and monitoring is carried out via a browser-based step-by-step wizard. This vastly reduces installation time, while giving building occupants the freedom to customise and optimise automated lighting systems to facilitate higher productivity, efficiency and comfort. It reduces costs in two ways, firstly by eliminating the need to recruit specialists to configure the system, and also by delivering energy savings, which can reach up to 80 percent.

Judges noted Ruth Allen’s glowing testimonials from her wholesaler customers, which commended her diligence, enthusiasm, product knowledge and positive attitude. Having consistently achieved her annual sales targets for close to 11 years, her success in helping to grow WAGO’s installer product range sales in Ireland have been recognised with the award for Sales Representative of the Year.

Receiving the award, Ruth Allen comments: “I am very pleased to have been recognised by the industry with this award, and aim to continue to deliver outstanding customer service and help grow the WAGO brand in Ireland. I would like to thank the clients that supported my nomination, as well as my WAGO colleagues for providing the tools and support that I need to deliver the highest levels of service for my customers.”
